GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho has received a grant from the African Development Fund/Technical Assistance Fund to Finance a Health Study.

The principal objective of this Study is to assess investment options for facilities' rehabilitation in the mental health and district care delivery sub-sectors, propose maintenance and health worker capacity building, and prepare selected project packages, with human resource requirements defined, for implementation by 1999.

All procurement of goods and consultancy services financed by the Bank will be in accordance with the Bank's Rules of Procedure for the Procurement of Goods and Works. Acquisition of the services of Consultants will follow the Bank's Rules of Procedure for the Use of Consultants using the Bank's Standard Letter of Invitation to Consultants. Procurement of consultants services for the Study will be carried out through competitive bidding on the basis of short lists. Selection shall be based on technical quality and cost considerations. Bidding documents are expected to be available in April 1998.
